From more than one hundred applicants, 25 publishers and agents have been awarded grants for visiting the fair. They represent Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Ghana, Great Britain, Italy, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, Uganda, US and Zimbabwe. Many applicants are from France, due to the Nordic countries being guest of honor at Salon du Livre next spring.
The intention behind the cooperation between the book fair and the Arts Council is to promote Swedsih literature aboroad and to increase the opportunity for Swedsih writers to reach a greater reading public abroad.
