Inti Chavez Perez was born in 1984 and lives in Stockholm. He has worked as a sex educator for several years, and has toured all over Sweden discussing sex and love with young men.
The Slangbellan prize was established in 1998 by BUS – the children and young people’s writers section of the Swedish Writers’ Union. The prize sum is SEK 30,000 and is awarded to an author for his or her first book for children and young people. The other nominees for the 2011 award were Jenny Jägerfeldt for Här ligger jag och blöder (I Lie Here Bleeding), Gilla böcker and Joar Tiberg, Månen blev rädd (The Moon was Scared), Rabén & Sjögren.
