Work travels for translators to Sweden and support for publications on the theme Swedish literature.

Distribution of grants for international promotion of Swedish literature and drama, fourth round 2021.

In this application round of grants for Swedish literature abroad, several applicants are getting support for thematic publications on Swedish literature. Wallstein Verlag in Germany will print a special volume of the literary review Die Horen on contemporary Swedish literature. The literary magazine Lidzstrava in Latvia will do a publication on Swedish poetry, and the Singapore-based Asymptote Journal is getting support for including Swedish authors in their online magazine.

We were happy to see that Montreuil Children’s Book fair in Paris will invite and promote the Swedish author Lisen Adbåge, as it is in line with our aim to highlight literature for young readers.

Seven applications are approved, and the total amount granted in this application round is SEK 515 000.

In the last application round for this year, professional translators are getting support for sample translations, mentorship, and work travels to Sweden.
