Grants for translators of Swedish literature
In the first application round 2026 for grants for translators, we approved 25 applications. In this round we received many applications for sample translations, as well as travels to participate in Översättargruvan (the Translators’ Mine) at Hästbäcks gård.
Seven sample translations have been approved in this allocation:

Miximum Ca Canny Sabotagemanualerna You cutta da shob we cutta da pay (poetry) by Ida Börjel will be sample translated into German by Clara Sondermann.
God jul (fiction) av Jonas Karlsson will be sample translated into Ukrainian by Daria Polishchuk.
Liken vi begravde (ficton) by Lina Wolff will be sample translated into Japanese by Fuyumi Nakamura.
Kris (fiction) by Karin Boye will be sample translated into French by Jean-Baptiste Bardin.
Straffkolonien (poetry) by Leila Inanna Sultan will be sample translated into English by Jennifer Hayashida.
Maken (fiction) by Gun-Britt Sundström will be sample translated into Russian by Yuliana Grigoryeva.
Carmen Montes Cano (Spain), Peter Deres (Hungary), Anna Gibson (France), Stefan Pluschkat (Germany) and Louise Ardenfelt Ravnild (Denmark) will participate at Översättargruvan.
