Grants for translators of Swedish literature

In the second application round of 2026, we approved 24 applications for grants for translators. Most of those approved will travel to the Gothenburg Book Fair in September. In this round, we also approved several sample translations, including poetry and drama for stage performance.

Three examples of the approved sample translations are: 

Stacken by Annika Norlin (novel) will be translated into Japanese by Fuyumi Nakamura. 

Mors dag by Alex Schulman (drama) will be sample translated into French by Gabrielle Rozsaffy. 

A collection of poems by Marie Silkeberg will be sample translated into Greek by Sotiris Souliotis.
