Marion Brunet receives the 2025 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award

Marion Brunet is a French author whose first novel, "Frangine" (Sister), was published in 2013. In her books, Brunet spotlights burning social issues and draws insightful portraits of vulnerable groups and young people in revolt. She is timely in her choice of topics, timeless in her linkages to folkore and myth.

Artistic Freedom: The Road Ahead

To mark the 20th anniversary of UNESCO’s 2005 Convention, Sweden and Norway organized a side event during UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Committee in Paris on February 13. The event, “Artistic Freedom: The Road Ahead,” was initiated by the permanent delegations of Norway and Sweden and featured a panel discussion.
