Pija Lindenbaum receives the Snöbollen Award 2021
It is her latest picture book Vitvivan och Gullsippan that receives the title Swedish Picture Book of the Year 2021.
Pija Lindenbaum is considered as one of Sweden’s most important picture book artists. She has received several awards for her books, many of which have been translated into several languages.
About the Snöbollen Award
In springtime every year, a jury selects the best Swedish picture book among last year’s releases. The award recognizes the picture book as an artistic medium. The winner receives the award in March during Littfest, Umeå International Literature Festival, and in conjunction, preparatory sketches and original images from the award-winning picture book is being displayed in an exhibition at Bildmuseet in Umeå.
