Translations enrich the literary discourse worldwide
We are allocating support to 88 translations in the second round of applications for Nordic and non-Nordic languages 2025. In this round, we are able to fund both the translation and production of poetry.
We are pleased to support poetry and a wide range of genres, enabling a rich and vibrant conversation about literature across the world.
Five works of poetry are supported:
- The red is the boundless (Det röda är det gränslösa) by Judith Kiros will be translated into Danish.
- Osebol by Marit Kapla will be translated into Italian.
- Aniara by Harry Martinson will be translated into German.
- Complete Poems (Samlade dikter) by Karin Boye will be translated into Italian.
- Songs of a death dancer (En döddansares visor), Barfotabarn, and Goggles by Nils Ferlin will be translated into Greek.
The most targeted languages in this application round are: Danish, German and Catalan.
The title with the most applications continue to be When the Cranes Fly South (Tranorna flyger söderut) by Lisa Ridzén.
